War on my Face

I told myself, I need to find a nice F2P FPS game. So I signed myself in Warface beta.

First of all, it feels slightly different than any other game. That's just on the beginning though. You can see standard Cryteks "inventions" around the game though. I'm not talking about the graphic's here, but about arcade way of playing. It really is! But is it casual?

It's not

The casual feeling stays all the time, going around you and literally not disappointing you in almost every situation. You think arcade feeling may be bad just like in Black Ops, but in here it deserves some attention. It's smooth and balanced, which is the beginning of making a good game for everyone, casuals or hardcore players. I think the feeling you have is that guns are kind of like toys (not like in BO tho, they're still better than BO's) in your hands. Low recoil, small spread and infinite range (wihout so hated among any CoD fans, projectile trajectories) which is actually balanced! All of this is! The spread is literally fine, damage drops on longer distances and so on. Amazing? Of course! Good job on this Crytek!

Balance of power

In meaning the balance of weapons, classes and maps of course.

That's something what everyone should notice in the game, take a note and think about it for a while.
More skilled players can dominate players that technically have better equipment than we do, maps are just MADE for each class available in the game and so on. Guns are really, really balanced, not like in Ghost Recon Future Soldier though, but still they've put some hard work into making the game easier for everyone.

1.Maps

Maps are big or small enough to make a battle intense for 16 players. Its a small count, sure, but you can't really feel that (maybe because quick respawns) and it still gives you fun. Maps have few camping spots of course, but they made sure if theres a camping place with view on almost whole map, you can be easily spotted there so you probably won't want to loose a life like that.

No matters what kind of weapon you use (even a pistol) you will find better and worse parts of every map. There are few tight buildings or tunnels, "big" areas with some useless wooden covers, watchtowers and more more more and more. One thing I've noticed, that Crytek needs to love bushes. We have some bushes in the game thats true. I bet they're specially made for snipers who are willing to buy themselves a "half-ghillie" suit. Though, take a note that your shooting can be easily seen by the enemies, aswell (wihout a suppressor) you will be immediately marked on the enemies map.

No matters your playstyle, you will find your liking in the maps.

2. Standard gamemodes

Many, many years ago, when the dragons were ruling the earth.... okay, not so long ago
a man invented few gamemodes (Quake!). They're called Free For All (deathmatch) and Team Deathmatch.   In addition to that, there's a "plant the bomb" mode (Hello Battlefield BC2!) and "Attack/defence" gamemode. Something like rush from Battlefield BC2.

Of course there's also Co-Op (haven't played that one yet). My favourite mode is... Free For All. Its not a massacre going on your screen, the spawns truly are a bit random, but I think its the fastest placed action in there and you don't depend on your team. Sadly in other gammemodes you do. Why sadly? That's because pepole don't really seem to know what to do... I bet they're all going for killstreaks. Which don't exist in that game. Hooray for internet without age resticion....

If you're interested in points though, I recommend you the "attack/defend" mode (it has different name in the game) because there you can get ALOT of points just in one (20[?] minute) match. Usually a match takes about 10 minutes or even less, but this is really fun to play if you wan't to spend some time, and get some point at once.

3. Shop/items/unloackables

Meaning, fun stuff and things that need some real cash. Of course like every F2P title, it has tons (alright maybe not tons "a few") things to buy with real money. They're of course guns, guns with camos, suits, piece of headwear, specials, tokens and some other things.

Very nice thing is the unloackable system. You don't need to actually buy any attachments to your weapons, you need to play and unlock them by getting enough experience, and no matters the attachment/gear/weapon type, it gains EXP with every class you play. Awesome! Also its totally random what next item you may unlock.

There are also some badges, stripes and "marks" as challenges in the game. Unlocking one of them let's you use it near your nick, something like "CoD Tag" thing, but simpler. More like BF3 tags. I like that simple idea.

That's all I can say (that's positive) for now about Warface, its still in beta, but later, after spending some more time with it, I'll post what I disliked about this new game and probably what I started to like or what I've discovered while playing. Until next time!
